Self-explanatory. Anime Central was just the best shit ever!

It was actually my first time going to a con since '04 so a lot of things changed.

Especially the prices. Ouch!

Regardless, I had the time of my life.

One thing many know about me is that I really dislike celebrities since they tend to be so full of themselves. So when two of my friends insisted I have to go see the sexy VA, Victor Mignogna, at his panel, I just had to groan in response.

But I do not regret it.

Vic is one of the most beautiful people I have ever met. I'm not a rabid, raving fangirl of his - not by a long shot - but I suddenly have a tremendous amount of respect for him. Not only is he active in his communities AND multi talented (graphic design, singer, songwriter, VA, etc), he's such a hilarious, down-to-earth, sweet guy, even I found myself shocked at his persona.

Not to mention he voices some of the coolest anime characters. Some of his roles are Edward Elric (Fullmetal Alchemist), Ikkaku (Bleach), and Phantom Dark Mousy (DNAngel).

Whatever. He is such an inspirational, optimistic man and I hope that I will one day be able to say hello to him again.

On the flip side, I also met up with a slightly older Alfonse Elric, more specifically Aaron Dismuke.

He was a pleasure to meet too. Unlike Vic, Aaron's personality was definitely more teenage-like - sarcastic, teasing, mischievous. Even so, he was just as entertaining (if not more so because of the awkward questions his fangirls asked him) as Vic.

Amazing that when he began to voice act, he was only eleven.

Both VAs are interactive people and, if you get the chance, should really check them out. Both were sweet enough to sign my Sadaharu plush (which I renamed Elric after both of their characters).

Enough babbling about VAs; the con as a whole was great. A lot of my dealer friends were there and I had the pleasure of meeting two of dA's most popular anime artists, *messa and *ramy. On top of that, I found a bunch of awesome anime merchandise. I only wish I had brought more money!

And, to put whipped cream on my too-awesome weekend, I discovered that one of my favorite manga series is now an anime! It's still coming out in Japan, but my god, they did such a wonderful job with it so far! Even the music is breath-taking! I can't wait to see the rest of it! I'm such a Hino-san fan! X3
